Leadership Charlotte
Recently, Rex was inducted into the Leadership Charlotte Hall of Fame, class of 1998. Mark Martella offered a poignant introduction.
“Our first inductee you all know. I first met him as a result of my participation in Leadership Charlotte in 2008 and then got to know him better working with him on various Boards. He has a big heart for many organizations and has helped out many non-profits over the years. However, the biggest spot in is heart, other than for his wife, kids, and dogs, is for the Homeless. He has worked tirelessly for the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition where he took the lead in helping it reach one of its dreams, to have a 52 bed shelter.
He also founded the Coalition’s Foundation to help raise funds for the Coalition and, in so doing, created the premier event in Charlotte County each year, the Mistletoe Ball.
However, with all of these accomplishments, his greatest impact may be a result of the creation of Community Services Day for the Leadership Charlotte Program which now introduces each class to the non-profits in our community and the services provided to meet the needs. The unique awareness provided by this day, will continue to have an impact for future generations of Leadership Classes for years to come.
Now, It is my honor and pleasure to introduce to you, the fourth inductee into the Leadership Charlotte Hall of Fame, from the Class of 1998, the owner of Koch & Company CPAs, Mr. Rex Koch.”

Charlotte County Homeless Coalition
In addition to striving to provide the highest quality of service to our clients, we are also aware of our responsibility to be good citizens and sponsors of our fine community. For years, most members of our firm have actively participated in community affairs. As a result, we were recognized for these efforts in recent years as follows:As Past President of the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, Inc., Rex Koch was actively involved in the application for a grant of approximately $3 million dollars to build the first licensed homeless shelters in Charlotte County. This grant has been awarded to the Homeless Coalition and work is in progress on the shelters.
After serving for 5 years as President of the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, Rex initiated the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition Foundation, dedicated to providing financial support to the Homeless Coalition.
Rex was also awarded in 2013 a Service Award from the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, for years of extraordinary service and volunteering.
